Do you have a love for music?  Have you ever wanted to make music? Have you ever watched your favorite band and wished you could participate?  Did you learn an instrument, but have not played it in years?  Do you know how to play an instrument, but want to take your skills to the next level?  Why not learn now?

Here at Art & Music Emporium we encourage people of all ages to follow their musical and artistic dreams.  Whether you realize it or not, you have the basic skills you need to play a musical instrument, you just need to learn how to hone and focus those skills.

Too often people are made to think that musical instruments are taught only in elementary school.  They feel that if they missed out on that opportunity or if they did learn and then quit, that there is no other chance to learn to play an instrument.  Well we are your opportunity, because here we are again, asking you to come out and give it a try.

We can help you choose an instrument based on your strengths and the sounds you enjoy listening to.  We offer a variety of supplies and books to get you started.  You can even purchase or rent your instrument and accessories from our store, although none of this is ever required in order to take lessons with us.

Our individualized lessons cost $20 per half hour.  Small group lessons are also available at $10 per half hour.

We offer lessons for musicians of all levels from beginning to advanced.  We can teach you how to read music or how to jazz improvise.  We can help you work through a method book or help you to perfect your solo for the upcoming concert you are performing in.  We will work on whatever techniques and selections you would like.  We offer lessons for band and orchestra instruments, piano, guitar, bass, etc.

Josh Long is the principle music teacher at Art & Music Emporium, he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Penn State University.
